Description
Seagen is a global multi-product biotechnology company that develops and commercializes innovative therapies for the treatment of cancer. The company’s industry-leading antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) technology harnesses the targeting ability of antibodies to deliver cell-killing agents directly to cancer cells. Seagen is currently launching its first product in the European Union and the United Kingdom, after receiving approval from the EMA and MHRA in the therapeutic area of HER2+ metastatic breast cancer.
Position Summary
The Senior IT Commercial Business Partner (Senior ITBP) is responsible for IT Solutions which support the Commercial organization at Seagen. The role is a member of the IT International team based in Zug HQ, Switzerland. The individual will partner with the Commercial Leadership team and Affiliates to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services and initiatives and will drive digital transformation in support of SEAGEN’s mission to bring new therapies to patients in need.
As a member of the International IT team, the Senior ITBP Commercial serves as a trusted advisor and facilitator, weaving conversations, and data points together to proactively identify the highest value IT opportunities, and subsequently bring them back into IT for design, planning and delivery. They contribute IT-specific thought leadership and expertise that clearly aligns with stakeholder needs and priorities.
The Senior ITBP Commercial also participates in the development of best practices and frameworks to advance Global and Regional IT’s strategic contribution at SEAGEN.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to and maintain portions of the regional IT commercial roadmap to support the needs of Commercial for the coming years.
- Support the existing systems, ensuring high quality operations are always maintained.
- Provide leadership to build, direct, and retain a high performing IT team.
- Maintain customer relationships, works with departments and key users across the company to identify and build business processes / solutions by leveraging technology.
- Strategic Advisory role to influence and enable the technology component of commercial strategies through technology roadmaps, governance, and high impact business cases.
- Subject matter expert in key commercial capabilities and such as Customer Relationship Management (Veeva CRM), Sales Performance and Incentive Comp Analytics, Sales Training, Master Data Management, Multichannel Marketing & Campaign Management, Closed Loop Marketing, Product Websites & Analytics, Managed Markets & Government Programs, 3rd party datasets, and iPAD & iPhone devices.
- Support stakeholders in articulating clear vision and requirements.
- Model a culture of shared accountability, measurable impact, and continuous evolution.
- Work on complex problems with the ability to recommend industry and best practices to management and implement accordingly.
- Partner with IT peers to address strategic concerns and voice of the customer in planning.
- Partner with IT peers to optimize solution, implementation, and support decisions/approaches.
- Use available resources, monitor performance, and proactively manage expectations, including trends in delivery, demand, support, compliance, and more.
Qualifications:
Industry experience preferred
- Direct experience with life sciences Commercial function and technology such as Veeva CRM and/or Salesforce.
- Business knowledge: demonstrated knowledge of key business processes and industry awareness of trends in the bio/pharma industry with a specific focus on Commercial.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
